Megan & Mark’s Cozy At-Home Engagement Session in Milwaukee

Five years together, a lifetime to go. Megan and Mark's Milwaukee engagement session felt like a page out of their love story—set right at home on their anniversary, surrounded by all the little things that make their life together special.

From snuggling their sweet cat Willie to sharing a toast with their favorite beer, enjoying a charcuterie board, and playing a game together, the evening was filled with moments that captured the heart of their relationship. These everyday joys are exactly what make Megan and Mark’s love extraordinary.

Mark proposed last summer at Devils Tower National Monument in Wyoming, but their story is rooted in the beautiful simplicity of shared laughs, late-night lofi playlists, Here Come the Mummies concerts (six and counting!), and serenading Willie with made-up lyrics to songs. Megan admires Mark’s thoughtfulness and humor, while Mark adores Megan’s strength and sassiness. Together, they’ve built a life that is just so sweet.

One of the biggest perks of an at-home engagement session in Milwaukee is how authentic and personal it feels. No need to navigate crowds or coordinate schedules for a busy venue—just the comfort of your favorite spaces, the pets who are part of your family, and the routines that make your relationship uniquely yours. It's an opportunity to freeze time in the most meaningful way, capturing your life exactly as it is right now. As a Milwaukee wedding photographer, we love how these sessions highlight a couple’s everyday love story in a way that feels true to them. Plus, you don’t have to worry about Wisconsin’s unpredictable weather when your session is indoors!

Adding to the charm of Megan and Mark’s session was the Milwaukee flag waving proudly on their front porch—a perfect nod to the city they love. Every corner of their home felt like a reflection of their shared journey and the life they’ve built together.

While their engagement session celebrated the intimate beauty of home, Megan and Mark’s upcoming wedding will showcase MKE in a completely different way. They’ll say “I do” at Best Place at Historic Pabst Brewery, one of the most iconic and historic wedding venues in Milwaukee. It’s the perfect choice for a couple whose love story is deeply tied to the city they call home.
