What’s your senior portrait style?
Our high school senior portraits are relaxed and fun! We love to bring out personalities and create fresh, modern, and even timeless photos for you. We’re inspired by who you are, in addition to great locations and fantastic light (whether stunning “golden hour” or lights that we set up for some dramatic and stylish nighttime photos). Incorporating creative perspectives, photographing through tree branches, catching your reflection in a window, or even using prisms and doubler-exposures, we love to include some truly one-of-a-kind portraits for you. Rounding out your collection, we’re sure to include some classic and timeless headshots, photos that meet your yearbook requirements, and candid photos that can incorporate your interests, too. Feel free to bring props! If you play an instrument, love sports, or create your own artwork, for example, we’re all for the opportunity to brainstorm some seriously stand-out photos that capture this milestone in your life.
What should I wear for my senior portraits?
There are so many senior portrait wardrobe ideas online, and it can be a lot to take in! We recommend wearing clothing that is weather-appropriate and comfortable enough to sit on the ground without feeling self-conscious or restricted. Feel free to express yourself to showcase your personality by adding personal touches like a statement pair of shoes, a stylish headband, or a playful necklace or scarf. Putting together layered outfits works great for photos because you can mix things for lots of variation, and selecting looks that contrast each other is also a good strategy (like formal and casual). Your senior pictures are also a great opportunity to showcase your culture and traditions if you’d like! Lastly, you’re welcome to email over some pics of your wardrobe if you’d like any input!
What do you recommend for hair and makeup? Do you offer professional retouching?
Professional hair and makeup can give you an extra confidence boost and also be a great treat before your photos, but be sure to still look like you and not experiment with a new look right before your session. Showing your hairstylist or makeup artist sample pictures will be really helpful. That said, if professional hair/makeup isn’t your thing, that’s no problem at all from a photography perspective. If you don’t normally wear makeup, we recommend a light powder to help with shine and such but test it out ahead of time to make sure it’s the right shade. As your high school senior graduation photographers, we will make sure all of your finished photos include a general retouch to smooth blemishes and even skin tone. If you have any requests beyond that just let us know!

Senior pictures are so much different now than the old studio-draped portraits from years ago. We work with our seniors to capture creative, natural senior photos that showcase their personalities so their photos are as unique as they are. This guide will walk you through our best advice on how to make the most of your senior photo session and make it stress-free.
Our senior albums
You’ve got the baby album and the books of family photos that show your kiddo growing up through the years; now it’s time for the “OMG, I can’t believe they are almost an adult” senior photo album to round out the collection. With a clean design, our senior albums are super personalized and can showcase your favorite photos and theirs. Talk about the perfect centerpiece for the graduation party, too!
