Ira and Ayush's Fall Maternity Photos | Milwaukee's Riverside Park

What a joy it was to photograph this sweet pair, Ira and Ayush, at their Fall maternity session at the picturesque Riverside Park in Milwaukee! They live in the southern US and were in town to see friends, so it was wonderful for them to experience autumn again. They were just loving all the Fall color and the crisp air! The dramatic stone archway, flourishing prairie, wooded paths, and scenic river views made perfect locations for their maternity photos, and we had fun making our way around the park and getting to know each other!

Ira wore a stunning red velvet dress that popped wonderfully against the mix of Fall colors. They were so sweet with each other, and we captured a great blend of both posed and candid photos. We started with some soft golden hour lighting before incorporating some dramatic and moody lighting in the woods as twilight was upon us.

We were excited to capture some artistic reflections and happy to see a bit of fog roll in to add a little extra drama for some moody nighttime photos on the bridge (complete with some backlighting). Last but not least, we were thrilled to capture a Mother Earth inspired portrait of Ira as a fallen tree arched above her. We’ve all heard of the pregnancy glow, and Ira was definitely glowing and simply radiant.
