What happens after you take my wedding photos?

With attention to detail, we edit each of your photos as its own work of art: adjusting for skin tone, highlights and shadows, and contrast. After you get your photos back, you’ll get to relive the magic of your wedding day and get to select your album photos from the comfort of your couch while on your private online gallery. You can easily share not only your gallery with family and friends but also a 50% discount off professional prints!

Do you need a shot list from us? Do you take family portraits at our wedding?

We love capturing candid moments throughout your wedding day, the details that make your wedding unique, and creating artistic portraits to let you relive your Big Day over and over again. If there is a specific shot you have to have, just let us know! Otherwise, the only shot list we really need is what you’d like for your family formals. Don’t worry, we’ll give you some common family combinations and cover that area in our wedding questionnaire, where we go over all aspects of your wedding day in detail so we’re well prepared for the festivities.

How much getting-ready and reception coverage do you recommend?

We adjust our recommendation to each couple and their specific needs. Generally speaking, most couples opt for about two hours of getting-ready coverage. Receptions are all very different timeline-wise, but if there’s a dance floor at your wedding, about one hour of dancing coverage is the sweet spot. Whether you’re having a small micro wedding in your backyard, an intimate elopement with your sweetie, or a traditional larger affair, we’d love to talk with you so we can recommend the appropriate amount of coverage!

How much is your deposit/retainer? How do we book you? Also, What’s your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

To book our studio, we just need your signed online contract and retainer (50% of package total). If you need to reschedule, we’re happy to transfer your package to a new date if we’re available! For cancellations, we’ll convert your remaining package to a studio credit that may be redeemed within a year from cancellation. Due to the limited availability of our team, Intimate Wedding Packages can be reserved within three months of the wedding date.; beyond three months requires a minimum investment of six hours of coverage.

I have 1,000 portrait ideas pinned on Pinterest. Can I send those over to you?

Our team works best when we can be inspired by our surroundings, by your personalities and story, the feeling of your wedding, and the emotion of your day. Pinterest boards can be great at communicating a specific mood on which you’d like your portraits focused, but in general, we recommend letting us do our thing. That way, your portraits won’t look like everyone else’s, and instead, they’ll be totally “you.” If there are a few must-haves, however, we’re happy to accommodate!

Can you help us select locations for our wedding day portraits?

Absolutely! We’re happy to offer suggestions on great locations as well as help put together the timeline for your wedding day photography so you can visualize how everything comes together time-wise.

What happens if it rains?

We’re not afraid of a little rain! We have covers for our camera gear, and we think umbrellas make awesome props! We can also utilize overhangs to keep you dry without an umbrella. If you don’t feel like dealing with the rain or wind at all, we’ll make suggestions on great indoor location options! All of our photographers are experienced at setting up their own creative lighting, so you won’t be limited to outdoor options for your portraits.

Very! We founded our business in 2007 and have had the honor of photographing several hundred weddings. Our team is composed of experienced professional photographers who are skilled at artistically and authentically capturing weddings while having fun and helping you feel comfortable in front of the camera throughout the day. We’re proud to have some of the best Milwaukee, Madison, and Chicago wedding photographers as part of our team, and we take our commitment to each of our clients to heart as we consistently deliver stunning photo collections.

What’s your style?

We love a perfect blend of photography styles: wedding photojournalism and lifestyle photography, artistic wedding photos, heartfelt wedding portraits that are distinctly you, and details that capture the thought you put into planning your wedding. We’re fueled by genuine emotion and your personalities! Ranging from “dark and moody” dramatic nighttime portraits to light and airy “golden hour” images, our photos tell your story as a couple as well as the story of your wedding day. We also have a timeless approach to our photo editing with true-to-life colors; we want you to look back at your photos and see the real color of the flowers you picked out and the color of your partner’s eyes. Completing your collection, we also include some classic black and white versions of some of your photos. When it comes down to it, Reminisce couples really love the light, shadow, and emotion in our photos and how their photos won’t look like everyone else’s. They’re thrilled to have photos of themselves and their loved ones at their wedding. And they desire not just photos of their wedding day, but also of their story.
