Follow These 7 Tips For The Best Senior Photos
Our high school senior sessions are relaxed and fun! We love to bring out personalities and create fresh and modern photos for you. We’re inspired by who you are, in addition to great locations and fantastic light (whether stunning “golden hour” or lights that we set up for some dramatic and stylish nighttime photos.) With creative perspectives we will capture some truly one-of-a-kind portraits for you along with some timeless, classic images that will meet your yearbook requirements.
Here are 6 tips for you to make the most of your senior session:
Select outfits that make you feel and look your best! Try on your complete outfit and look in the mirror (including shoes - make sure they are clean!) Do you feel confident? Are you able to sit on the ground without feeling self conscious or restricted? Is it weather appropriate? Does your outfit meet your yearbook requirements?
Showcase your personality and style! Include accessories and layers to add variety to your photos. Consider bringing a jacket, scarf, vest, hat, glasses, statement shoes, stylish headband, or jewelry.
Consider choosing one formal outfit and one casual outfit. Maybe you want to showcase your traditions or culture with one of your outfits. Start your session with your more formal outfit as it is typically easier to then change into your casual outfit.
Showcase your interests, hobbies, and talents. If you play an instrument, love sports or create your own artwork - bring those along to your session! Remember to make sure your outfit compliments the special items you bring along.
Think happy thoughts on the way to your session! If you think happy thoughts while we’re photographing you, you’ll have a fantastic genuine smile. You can even practice your facial expressions at home, but don’t overthink it - Coaching you on your expression is where we come in!
Be mindful of undergarments so nothing is showing that you do not want to be seen. Make sure your lips are moisturized and bring your makeup in case you need a touch up. Clear deodorant is your friend.
BONUS TIP: Bring a parent or guardian who can help carry your personal items, clothing changes and help you feel extra comfortable.
Can’t wait to create senior photos that tell the story of who you are with a glimpse of who you will be in the future!
